Description

3D Blend ASA-Like Resin is a tough engineering resin inspired by ASA plastic: impact resistant, rigid and formulated for better stability outdoors and in light than standard resins.

Use it for enclosures, brackets and functional parts that see handling and daylight.

Key features

  • Tough and impact resistant
  • Better UV and weather stability than standard resins
  • Rigid — holds shape in assemblies
  • Good surface for functional and visible parts

Applications

  • Enclosures and housings
  • Brackets, mounts and clips
  • Automotive and outdoor accessory prototypes
  • Functional prototypes of ABS/ASA parts

Product information

Item Detail
Product 3D Blend ASA-Like Resin
Type ASA-like engineering resin
Colour Black
Net weight 500 g
Wavelength 385–405 nm
Compatible printers LCD, MSLA and DLP resin printers (Elegoo, Anycubic, Phrozen, Creality, Uniformation, Bambu and others)

Technical data

Property Value
Tensile strength 35–45 MPa
Elongation at break 10–25%
Hardness 80–85 Shore D
Density 1.05–1.25 g/cm³

Typical values for this resin type, compiled from comparable resins — indicative only, not a guaranteed specification for this batch.

How to print

  1. Bring resin and room to 20–30 °C — cold resin is thick and causes failed prints
  2. Shake the bottle for 1–2 minutes (or roll it) until no sediment remains
  3. Check the FEP/ACF film for holes and clean the build plate; level the plate if needed
  4. Pour resin into the vat up to the MAX line
  5. In your slicer (Chitubox, Lychee, etc.) enter the print settings below, orient parts at 30–45° and add supports
  6. Hollow large models (2–3 mm wall) and add drain holes to save resin and avoid suction
  7. Run an exposure test (e.g. RERF or validation matrix) the first time you use this resin on your printer
  8. Print, then let the plate drip for 10–15 min before removing parts

Recommended print settings (UV exposure)

Setting Starting value
Layer height 0.05 mm
Bottom layers 4–6
Lift distance 8 mm
Lift speed 60–80 mm/min
Retract speed 150 mm/min
Wavelength 385–410 nm
Bottom exposure 25–35 s
Layer exposure 3–4 s

Starting values tested on a 6.6″ mono LCD (3500–4500 µW/cm²). Adjust for your printer’s light power: a stronger screen needs shorter exposure; a weaker or ageing screen needs longer.

Washing

  1. Remove the build plate and let excess resin drip back into the vat (10–15 min)
  2. Wash in IPA (95%+) for 2–3 min, then in a second, cleaner IPA bath for 1–2 min — do not exceed 10 min in total
  3. Remove supports while the part is still slightly soft for cleaner marks
  4. Dry completely with compressed air or leave 15–30 min — curing a wet part causes white haze

UV post-curing (polymerization)

Parameter Value
Wavelength 405 nm
High-power curing box (≈200 mW/cm²) 2–3 min per side, in water
Standard curing station (40–60 W) 5–10 min, rotating
Thermal post-cure (optional) 1 h at 60–80 °C for maximum toughness

Tip: Like any photopolymer, prolonged direct sunlight eventually affects the surface; a UV-stable clear coat extends outdoor life.

Storage & safety

  • Store sealed in the original bottle at 15–30 °C, away from sunlight, heat sources and moisture
  • Shake or roll the bottle for 1–2 minutes before every print — pigments and fillers settle
  • Shelf life: 24 months unopened (18 months for dental resins)
  • Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses; work in a ventilated room
  • Skin contact: wash with soap and water. Eye contact: rinse 15 min and seek medical advice
  • Dispose of uncured resin and contaminated IPA as chemical waste, never in the drain

In the box
